Surveys could be a comprehensive territory mapping exercise, breeding bird transects, winter bird transects, a simple species list, species-specific surveys, nest finding (e.g. ahead of forestry work or drilling) or ringing studies. Surveys will usually follow established BTO methodology such as the Common Bird Census, the Breeding Bird Survey, the English Winter Bird Survey and the Nest Record Scheme.
As an alternative to a formal survey, Anna can take clients on identification walks around their sites to show them what species are present and help improve their identification skills.

All survey results will be presented in a summary report, with recommendations and digitisation on GIS software where appropriate.

Anna can source and/or install a variety of small and large bird nest boxes and bat boxes. She is a qualified tree climber, fully trained in working at heights and holds all appropriate insurances.
Following installation, it may be possible to monitor boxes each year as part of Anna's long term monitoring projects.

Anna is also an experienced botanist (FISC Level 5) - please get in touch if you would like to arrange any botanical surveys (including UKHabitat Assessments, NVC, priority habitat, Woodland Condition Assessments etc.).
